Pod 2.0 which amp is jcm 800

Have many people here tried this combo. If so have you found any great tone settings. I recently bought my first dream amp off of a member on this forum and have not had much time to play it 2 kids now and 7 day a week job ; although when I do play it it sounds absolutely fantastic.

I don't want to spend time looking for my POD and then spend several hours trying to dial in a good sound. Is it worth trying to get the pod working with the or should I just leave the pod lost in one of my moving boxes that I have yet to unpack? I currently am using an SD-1 and the tone I am getting is just perfect. The reason I'm thinking about the POD is just for a volume boost. I find with the that having my MV on and the pre amp rolled back to almost nothing where the amp is just about to distort in the unnatural square wave way give me a beautiful clean tone.

When I slap on the sd-1 it gives me a great gain boost. Now I just need a bit more boost for solo type settings. I guess my biggest concern with the POD is; is it going to change my tone if I add it in front. I do not have an fx loop. Don't even joke about that. You could be stripped of your membership. Ryan Turner Posted November 4, Those Vox AD series amps sound close. Listen to the audio demos, all the Marshall models sound fantastic. Sounds like it cleans up beautifully. Author Members. This is very useful, thanks! The Line 6 Vetta 2 can nail it pretty damn close. Originally posted by tnttnttnt. I may give it another go through my frfr. Sometimes I miss the simplicity. Chris Martins Member. Still Own my POD 1. Ran it thru a CLR at a stripped down rehearsal for a gig and I actually thought it was a damn good sound- especially for when it came out.

The CLR was also very telling on the eq of that thing which helped quite a bit. Karl Houseknecht Member. Messages 5, MollyPolly Senior Member. Messages 1, I remember the rotary speaker effects sounding particularly good in that unit.

I still like the chorus on the 2. The wha and delay weren't bad either. Very usable with minimal tweaking. The matchless model on the 2. Bought the 2. Maybe I shouldn't have Mangy71 Member. Messages 4, I wish someone would come out with a modeler with the simplicity of the original POD, but with modeling technology.

If you have to do all that, then maybe the modeling isn't really right. Design Guy Gold Supporting Member. Mangy71 said:. Mtnbkr Member.
